HIS PASSING GLORY

Commissioned by the university to create a permanent public art installation that attracts students and staff to explore and ponder the meaning of the school in “Shek Mun”- the “stone gate” in Hong Kong. The work recreates an episode from the Bible that encourages us through the symbolism of water, light, and the rock as our foundation.

We tracked the sun’s path and direction at the site from every season to vary how people can experience the work from the reflected and refracted lights, which delightfully sprinkle a wide spectrum of colors onto the podium area.
